Wisdom from a Flower

A person came to me for consultation .During my conversation with him,he remarked “The world at present is a dirty one to live in. Hypocrisy,sycophancy and self preservation even at the cost of destroying others are the rules of the game.”He appeared frustrated about existence in this world.I showed him a photograph and asked him to identify it . He immediately reacted and replied.”It is a dirty pond which is contaminated and polluted like the world.”I asked him “What else do you see in the pond?”He replied “I see some plants on the surface of the water.”I asked him “Don’t you see some lotus flowers amidst the plants?.”He replied “Yes”. I told him”You can see that those beautiful lotus flowers coexist and exist harmoniously with the waters of the dirty pond . The world is like a pond where good lovely people like the beauty flower can exist with peace. Please become that lotus flower which is in the pond . The flower exists but still does not exist. “ Why don’t all us become the lotus flower and enjoy bliss. The remedy for this transformation is only introspection and the acceptance for change.
