Am I participating in a popularity contest ?

For the last 66 years I have always been propelled by an ambition to prove myself. I am participating always in a rat race running like a rabid dog to prove my credentials. Unfortunately tagged to this futile meaningless attempts to prove that I am a worthy son of the soil is the social stigma that I have to prove to one and all that I am a good, selfless and tolerant human being . This morning a pearl of wisdom dawned in my mind. It is “There is no need to prove to anyone including your own self that you are the best in all aspects of human existence”. You are not the “You”but “HIM.” Surrender to “HIM” and empty yourself of that evil force named “Ego” . The melting of your ego will unfold the non existence of an illusionary “You”.
