A wild, untamed animal needs a ringmaster to guide and discipline it so that a beautiful performance can unfold.
The mind is much the same , restless, fickle and untamed.
It needs a teacher, sometimes a person, sometimes an experience, and sometimes life itself, to teach it restraint and direction.
Once the mind learns to obey wisdom rather than impulse, a peaceful life begins to unfold.
And here, there is no audience to impress.
The mind is the performer, the teacher is the guide, and the Self is the witness.
