My Conversations with Silence

The title may sound weird but today’s experience brought out the wisdom in the title. This morning while getting down from the apartment saw a mason religiously working in the compound. He was doing an excellent job.I told him””You are doing a good job”. Inspite of myself repeating the same louder he was not perturbed and his silence was even provocative. I stood staring at him not knowing what to do. Immediately his colleague told me “Sir ,please do not get angry with him. He is deaf and dumb but he is an efficient mason.”I Immediately prostrated before the mason .What a blessed angel he was.He cannot hear the flattery which would otherwise inflate his Ego nor speak ill about others.,He was in conversation with his silence and enjoying the cosmic symphony played in his soul. He was his best friend and at home with himself drinking the nectar of existence.
