As a Doctor, I should accept the truth that I have met my Waterloo on the turbulent waters of the cause or treatment of the disease in some of my patients . Every failure brought into the open my ignorance and they were in fact a stimulus to learn more. Ignorance when accepted is a Boon but when not accepted it is a Bane. I am blessed to be still ignorant in the infinite expanse of scientific knowledge. Realised that if you are ignorant about your ignorance it is then a curse. But if you are aware about your ignorance it is a blessing. The seed for these thoughts was an incident which happened this evening. I could not arrive at a specific diagnosis . I had to convey to the patient my ignorance about his ailment . I conveyed to the him my eagerness to know his diagnosis , if it were to be diagnosed at any time in the future. The tower of Knowledge is built on the pillars of Ignorance.🙏🙏
