A Rheumatologist’s truthful look at COVID 🧎‍♀️

COVID has emerged as a Demon to destroy humanity. Everyone including Health Care Professionals , Scientists, Pharmaceuticals and the public are desperate to discover the panacea for this disease. Every new medicine has been a passing cloud of hope. The last word about the therapeutic usefulness of any drug is yet to see the light of the day.Clear ethical data are yet to emerge from from trials . Double blind studies have not been performed. I accept that double blind trials cannot be performed in a disease which carries a high degree of mortality and morbidity.What is the need of the hour is a honest and ethical look at the true benefit of medications. I may be wrong and seek pardon from anyone who opines that I am wrong But the time has come for a truthful introspection beyond the dimensions of revenue and Ego .
