It is a ritualistic karma that every male beyond 60 years should have a stop over in a Urologist’s consultation before he is laid to rest. The prostrate invariably is the culprit behind plumbing problems in the male senior citizen. A good friend of mine who is a Nephrologist of repute called me frantically last week and told me “ Ramki. We have become victims to the cruelty of rains and the house is completely water logged. Even the sewage is blocked. To whom should I refer this problem.” One should learn to laugh at his problems. If you trace my Nephrology colleague’s family tree , he belongs to the family tree where the great humourist PG Wodehouse is his great , great grandad. I am a great fan of Wodehouse and I replied “ You need to refer this patient ( meant his house ) to the Urologist who is an expert in plumbing. “ Both of us laughed at our problems because I was also suffering from the same( not a problem in the prostrate but marooned in an island of rain water)
