I met a tree in the wilderness in solitude. I sat beneath it in meditation. I asked the bark of the tree “ What is Karma? Can someone borrow another person’s karma , transfer it into his account and experience it on the other person’s behalf?”
The bark replied “ If you observe me , you can see that all the branches of this tree are my offspring. But peculiarly , some branches do not bear even leaves and are cursed , some branches are blessed to bear only flowers and some are most blessed to bear fruits. Though I am their origin , I cannot interchange the produce from one branch to another. Each branch is a product of its own karma. In the celestial Bank of Karma , there is no online transfer of karma from one’s karmic account to another person’s karmic account. Karma is a non- transferable commodity in the domains of the Creator.”
The tree was not a Peepul tree to bless me with the wisdom of Buddha but still it had its own share of wisdom to convey.
