Am I a Beggar?

Two decades ago I had been to a Temple. At the entrance ran into many people who were asking for assistance. Gave a person Rs 5 and he told me that he wanted only ten rupees. The Ego in me got provoked. I did not give him anything and entered the temple and went into the sanctum sanctorum. An interesting incident happened inside. My conscience told me”You have been coming to this temple since birth and every time you always asked me a favour seeking gratification of that desire. My conscience shouted at me “I do not find any difference between you and that man outside and both of you are beggars.Both you and he are dissatisfied people. Have you thanked me at least once for all that I have given you instead of begging every time from me. .”. I hung my head in shame and went this Beggar went and met that Beggar. I gave Rs Fifty and he asked me immeadiately why I gave him fifty rupees.I replied “I gave you ten rupees which was your demand and forty rupees is the price I am paying for your lessons in wisdom.”. From that day I have stopped asking the Creator for anything since the Creator who created the Created knows how to take care of His Creation🙏🙏
