Are you preparing for Death?

A patient asked me “ You are a Doctor with a great risk to contract Covid infection. How do you look at death? How are you preparing yourself for death?” I observed silence for five minutes. A voice from inside replied to him on my behalf “ I like everyone look forward to Death because it is an unwritten law that one should die after birth. With respect to the question-How I am preparing for death ? ; the following is my answer. Covid has already prepared me for death. But at present, I am preparing for life after death provided you believe in rebirth ( I believe in rebirth because the wheel of Karma brings you back into this world to go through your karma). I am preparing for my life after birth by performing good karma.” He asked me “What is good karma?”. I replied “That which is not bad karma is good karma.” He got agitated and screamed at me “ Your answer is very elusive.” I sported a smile and replied “ The answer for your question is in your answer itself. What do you mean by the word “elusive “. It means it is vague and ill defined and Maya is indeed elusive.Bad karma is that karma which plays the role of a fertiliser on the soils of Maya.” My friend was seeing stars .
