Can I address you “Sir”?

A friend of recent acquaintance asked this mortal “Can I address you as Sir.?”He is an excellent gentleman who is more evolved than this empty mortal. Since empty vessels make the most noise the reply was “It is the “He “ which has replaced the “I” and no wonder we are addressing the “Him”and not the”I” . Hence it is prudent to address each other as “Sir”.
