The title sounds weird.How can a dead person teach? He is already gone to an alien world .My answer to this question after prolonged meditation on this thought saw the light this morning. Went down memory lane and recalled nostalgic memories of my study period in Medical School . What stood out was my first encounter with the dead on a one to one basis with a person who was proclaimed dead by the world, Where did this happen? In the dissection hall of the Anatomy department. I was one among the dead but still alive to experience the learning of the human anatomy. My first incision with the scalpel on the physical remains of a divine human being woke him up from his eternal slumber.He patted me on my shoulder and told me “Be relaxed my son. You will realise today that “Even The Dead Can Teach The Living”. Tears tricked down my ears . They were not one of grief or fear.They were tears of wisdom that my first lesson of Wisdom unfolded itself from the dead when I was alive but dead among the dead. Thirty five years of my frequent encounter with death in the medical profession has taught me this lesson “ Death opens the enlightening corridors of wisdom to the living who also will die certainly at one point of time”. May the Living rest in Harmony and the Dead live in Peace”.🙏🙏🙏
This post is dedicated to millions of “The Dead who are still alive in the Dissection Halls of an Anatomy department to teach medical students that “ Still the living have the legendary teachers to teach them for eternity.”
