The time is 10 30 pm . Just entered the Intensive Care Unit to a review an ill patient. He smiled and asked me a question which I should have asked him as a Doctor. He asked me with a smile inspite of his indisposition”How are you Doctor?Are you not tired at this time of the day after working for nearly 13 hours? Did you have your dinner?”. Well his empathy and concern for me brought me into tears. I held his hands and told him smiling “My dear brother . I am as fine as you and the day is not far away when both of us will dine together in the hospital. At sixty five I regained the energy of a 30 year old intern and then went around fulfilling the purpose for which I have been created.,This incident gave me a golden opportunity to oppose what Shakespeare said “Oh Judgment. Thou art but fled to brutish beasts and men have lost their reason. If only Shakespeare had met this divine ,humane creation, he would never have even got such a thought. Long live this tribe of good men who make the Creator proud of HIS creation.”Good Night”. This soul has a long way to go to reach his temporary shelter.❤️❤️
