On my small shelf in my consultation chamber , I have photographs of Gods and the great spiritual Masters. An inquisitive patient asked me a question “ Do you have belief in God or Guru?” It was indeed a difficult question to ask but an easy one to answer. I meditated for a few seconds and observed stoic silence. A voice from within myself answered him :
“ Both the words God and Guru start with the same letter G . It is needless to say that they are one and the same. It is the human being who confers on them -The Duality of Existence. Kindly look through the lens of Reality and not through the misty spectacles of Maya.You will discover that there is only ONE and that ONE is only HIM. Do not waste your time in dissecting Maya.”
I was struck dumb. The patient left the consultation chamber without even telling me his medical problems. How much I would have evolved if only every patient of mine had asked me similar questions . Those questions would have facilitated my mind to trek to the peaks of realisation.
