Happiness and Poverty🙏

It is a myth that one should be rich to be happy. This is the truth I was blessed to learn this evening. I was blessed to be invited to be a Chief Guest in a function. I was shocked to see the venue of the function. My Ego and Status( my perception) prompted me to assume that it will be organised in an air conditioned auditorium. I was shocked to see the venue. It was held in a small street with a small stage. The participants were fishermen and their children. The function was organised by a Trust which was doing the noble service of providing financial assistance for education, free medical care and providing relief at times of Natural disasters.There was a dance programme and innocent children were dancing in ecstasy to rocking music. I observed the enthusiasm and happiness on the face of those parents. People who are blessed with everything are more often cursed to be unhappy ☹️ and those who are cursed to be poor are blessed to be happy with nothing. This experience deflated my Ego, revived the childish instincts in me and also taught me that one can be happy even with nothing.🙏🙏🙏
