Last night a very gratifying incident happened during my consultation. A person brought his mother for consultation. After the consultation I asked him “May I know what is your profession?”He replied “I am a Doctor. I am a Doctor of Anatomy.”I Immediately replied “Both of us are Doctors. But the subtle difference between you and me is that I deal with the the dying and you deal with the dead. I learn the science and art of clinical medicine from the dying and the science of human anatomy from the dead. As Doctors we forget that Knowledge of Human Anatomy forms the pillar for further medical knowledge and how charitable and generous are humans to donate their body for knowledge. It is great to be useful when we are alive but greatest to be useful even after we die.”
