At 4 am this morning , I ran into an empty tea cup on the dining table.Both of us looked at each other and conversed in silence . It asked me “When I am most useful ? Is it when I am empty or full?”. I replied “ You are most useful when you are full because that is the only time when you can share your content with others. “
The cup smiled sarcastically and replied “ Pardon me for conveying to you that you are wrong. A tea cup can only be filled when it is empty. Emptiness paves the way for Fullness which can ultimately be shared with everyone to become empty again. I am
most useful when I am empty. “ Tears of ecstasy trickled from my eyes when this lovely pearl of wisdom was shared to me by the tea cup. Let us chew the cud of this wisdom and empty ourselves so that we will be most useful to humanity.
