My Conversation with a Tree

I walked for a change in the garden beneath a star studded sky and the pleasant light of the beautiful Moon at 4 am this morning. I sat under a tree and started meditating. Guess who spoke to me.It was nothing other than the tree in whose shade I was sitting in a yogic posture. I asked the tree “If the Creator gave you the chance of another birth in your next janma , what would you dream to be born as? “
The Tree whispered into my years “ I would love to be born as the Peepal Tree beneath which The Buddha got enlightenment.”Immediately I asked it “ You want to be proud that The Buddha got enlightened in your shade ?.” The tree smiled sarcastically and told me “ Never have I dreamt to be the source of anyone’s wisdom but I love to be a part of the journey to the evergreen meadows of Enlightenment and Emptiness.” I got into a trance to be ultimately woken up by the golden rays of the Sun.
