Prayer “Need Based or Spontaneous?

I have often wondered why we pray? Well this question is irrelevant to the Atheist or the Agnostic. More often or even regularly we pray to God when we are in distress and are need of something ranging from solutions to needs and necessities. Once our prayers are answered we do not thank HIM and we forget to think of HIM only when another necessity arises. Fortunately HE being God is neither disappointed nor angry with us and when we go to HIM next time time without shame HE comes to our rescue. Spontaneous prayer to GOD without expectation of gratification is a rare phenomenon. It has taken nearly six decades for this idiot to realise it . The earlier we change  it is better for us so that what we offer to God is unconditional love. Good enlightening week ahead🙏🙏
