Should one understand to Laugh 😂?

A true rewarding and educative incident took place in my consultation chamber last week. A lady came along with her cute little daughter for medical consultation. After the consult was over we had a conversation. We exchanged a lot of humour during our conversation. Both of us had a hearty laugh and surprisingly the six year old angel also laughed every time we laughed. I asked the kid “Why are you laughing?”. She replied “I laughed because you did so.” My arrogance came to the forefront and I egoistically asked the kid “Did you understand the humour?”. She replied smiling “Never understood.”I asked her again “Then why did you laugh?”. She replied “ I laughed because both of you laughed”.I felt ashamed after her reply. I realised that”One should not search for a reason to laugh”. I do understand that you will call me insane when I laugh for no reason. Then please tell me “By what name I have to address you when you do not laugh even when there is a reason?.It is your guess and not mine. This cute and innocent kid conferred this Enlightenment on me “Retain your childish instincts and do not search for a reason to be happy and laugh . If our happiness is reason dependant it will only be transient because those reasons are only temporary in existence in the dimensions of time. 🙏❤️
