An important truth which surfaced in me after practising as a Doctor for nearly 35 years is the unacceptable truth of uncertainty of existence and time. As Doctors our time is not under our control. Every moment of us is governed by patients,their health status and the uncertainty of their disease state. My reputation as a Doctor (assuming that I have one) is well established that more often there is a waiting period and delay in seeing patients.Patients will always ask me “Why are you late Doctor for your consultation?”.I decided to give myself a nickname “Late Dr R………..to me while alive and tell my patients that henceforth I will be known as Late Dr R….. and after my death I will be known as Dr R………. . . In fact I have also instructed people to write this Epitaph on my grave “Here lies the Doctor who was always late in his life which included his Date ❤️ also. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. We are in a crazy world running after our own shadow and forget the indisposition of others in various professions. An element of empathy will make our life more peaceful and meaningful 🙏🙏🙏🙏
