The birth of Wisdom often takes place inside the graveyard. I passed by a graveyard one day. I parked the car outside the graveyard and entered the graveyard to meditate. The best of wisdom is served often in the graveyard. It was a difficult day in the hospital dealing with a person’s departure from Mother Earth. It was not his death that upset me but and what troubled me emotionally was being an innocent spectator to the process of his dying . An epitaph inside the graveyard came to life and whispered into my ears:
“ It is easy to live with the living.
Easiest to live with the dead.
But it is most difficult to live with the dying.”
This pearl of wisdom was very comforting to the turbulent mind of a Doctor when he was returning home from the battlefields of death.
